Miscellaneous manuscripts, n.d.

Undated (possibly late 18th-century) copy of a memoir originally written in 1680 by Mary Penington for her daughter Maria Penn and her grandson Springett Penn. It is entitled, "A Brief Account of Some of my Exercises from my Childhood." She mostly discusses her religious upbringing and attitudes. The original copy seems to have been written out by Edward Penington, her second husband; but the present copy is in a single, unidentified hand.
